Does X allow AI agents to post?

Yes: X lets an AI agent post through its API, within X's automation rules: no duplicate posts, no automated replies triggered by keyword searches alone, and spammy use can lead to suspension. Evenpost, an app for X (Twitter) that lets an AI agent draft posts you approve on your phone, keeps a person behind every post it sends.

Evenpost / Answers / Does X allow AI agents?

X's automation rules live in its help centre and are about behaviour: what gets posted, how often and to whom. They can change, so read them yourself before an agent touches your account. Evenpost cannot promise how X treats any account, and does not claim to.

What X's automation rules mean for AI agents

  1. No duplicate postsX says you may not post duplicative or substantially similar posts, on one account or across several you run. An agent asked for "a post a day about the launch" can repeat itself, so read each draft against the last few.
  2. No keyword-triggered repliesAutomated replies sent only because a post matched a keyword search are not allowed. Evenpost sends no replies to anyone: it posts your own single posts and X threads.
  3. Spam has consequencesSpammy or duplicative mentions and replies can lead to removal from search or suspension, per X's rules.
  4. A label for automated accountsX offers a label, shown under the profile name, that links an automated account to the person who runs it. X's help centre explains when to use it.

Where approval helps

These rules are easy to break by accident when an agent posts on its own: the same idea twice in a week, three posts in ten minutes, a reply nobody asked for. Through Evenpost the agent can only draft. You read every post before it goes out, approved posts leave with natural spacing, 75 to 120 minutes apart and at most 6 a day by default, and Evenpost never likes, follows, reposts or replies to anyone.

Is posting through the X API against the rules?

Posting through the X API is not against X's rules: the API exists for it, and X's automation rules say how to use it. What breaks the rules is behaviour, such as duplicate posts or automated replies to keyword matches. Through Evenpost, every post is one you approved, on your own account.

Will X treat posts sent through Evenpost as automated?

How X treats posts sent through Evenpost is up to X, and Evenpost cannot promise anything about it. What Evenpost controls is the pattern: posts from your own account, each one approved by you, spaced 75 to 120 minutes apart, at most 6 a day by default, with no replies, likes or follows.

Can an agent reply to people for me?

An agent cannot reply to people for you through Evenpost. Evenpost posts only your own single posts and X threads, after you approve them, and has no way to reply to others, like, follow or repost. X's automation rules also restrict automated replies, so replies are better written by you.
