How to turn a git diff into a build-in-public post
Point your agent at the git diff, the commits or the changelog and ask for a build-in-public post, or say /evenpost this in Claude Code. Evenpost, an app for X (Twitter) that lets an AI agent draft posts you approve on your phone, puts the draft on your phone and posts it only when you approve.

Building in public stalls at the same step for most people: the work is done, and the post never gets written. The diff already says what changed, and the commit messages say why. An agent can read both and write the first draft in the time it takes to push.
Build-in-public tweets from a git diff, in three steps
- Say /evenpost thisThe free /evenpost skill works out what "this" is: the file or diff you point at, then the conversation, then your last few commits. If it is still unclear, it asks one question.
- Get a post or an X threadIt picks a single post or a 3 to 6 tweet X thread, follows your voice profile if you have one, checks the length and any links, and sends the draft to the app.
- Approve on your phoneRead the exact text, fix anything the diff got wrong, and tap Queue. It goes out with natural spacing in your hours.
What makes a good post from a diff
One change per post, said as a result: what works now that did not before. A number if the diff has one, such as a time, a size or a count. A screenshot of the change, attached to the tweet, up to 4 photos per tweet; video is coming later. A changelog is written for people who use the code. A post is written for people scrolling past.
For a release, the free Research brief skill turns CHANGELOG.md into a fact table first, so every number in the post traces back to a line.
Can the agent post every commit automatically?
The agent cannot post every commit automatically through Evenpost. It can draft a post from each commit or each day's work, but every draft waits in the app until you approve it, and natural spacing keeps approved posts 75 to 120 minutes apart, at most 6 a day by default.
Does turning a diff into a post work in Cursor?
Yes, turning a git diff into a post works in Cursor. Connecting Evenpost adds the "Evenpost this" prompt: pick it and name the branch, the commits or the file as the topic. Cursor drafts a post or an X thread and sends it to the app, where it waits for your approval.
Will my private code end up on X?
Your private code ends up on X only if it is in the words you approve. The agent reads the diff where it already runs and sends Evenpost just the draft text and any photos you attach. You read every word on your phone first, so check for names and numbers you would rather keep private.
